Pacesetter Leadership

A style of management or professional guidance in which the leader demonstrates by example, the level of performance and quality expected of their employees. A results oriented style of leadership that asks team members to match or exceed that standard shown to them. A pacesetter would not ask others to do what they would not do themselves. This leadership style can be good to reach short-term results, but can be harmful for employee engagement and motivation in the long run.

Laissez-Faire Leadership

A style of leadership in which leaders are hands -off and allow group members to take decisions. Researchers suggest that this type of leadership style leads to the lowest productivity among group members.
