Compentency: Technology

Software Programmer

Technology have promoted key changes in distance education. These changes have been most evident in the rapid development of electronic communications in recent decades. How the future of distance education will be shaped by the integration of its history and these new technologies is yet to be seen. Changes in society, politics, economics, and technology are impacting the status of distanceeducation...

Technology has been the base for the e-learning activities. Videos will be applied to describe fundamental information or illustrate simple processes and practices. Moreover, videos will also be applied as an absorb activity, and as a result, it will pursue a linear pathway (Cairns, et al., 2017). This means that although learners can have control over the speed of the video, the direction of the learning experience will remain under the control of the instructor. This means that the learner just absorbs and observes the skills or actions being illustrated. In addition, demo videos are best case of such activity, which necessitates the participant to “passively” absorb the illustrated items (for example, how to assemble computer set) and copy the gained skills at workplace.
